I had a strange thought tonight.

My state in life is so breathtakingly fortunate that I can afford to once a week take forty gallons of perfectly good drinking water, expend fuel to heat it, adulter it so as to be undrinkable, and then simply pour it down the goddamn drain -- all for my own pleasure ( Read more... )

yeah.
PArt of the reason I used to go Primitive Camping was that - I could go - nearly anywhere after and feel GRATEFUL.

So VERY glad I live in a time/place where - the fact that I am listening to music and sitting with heat and power and intarwebs can come to pass.

Pretty damn incredible, esp considering that in a lot of the world, you wouldn't be using soaps, and the water would still be considered drinkable.
