Do you think Gov. Schwarzenegger will keep his word about opposing an amendment? His 0-2 track record of vetoing legislature doesn't look very promising.

I pray he fights the petition tooth and nail. It's such bullshit for a politician to say that civil rights should be decided by the people. If that was the case, would the slaves ever have been freed?

Well it's a ballot initiative so all he can really do is look disapproving. I doubt that it would pass in California, anyway.
