Innes knew the knight was coming. The prince was never one for armor but he knew how to keep himself alive. He had simple armor on (as usual) as well as his bow. This was war. He'd defend Eirika with his life, if he had to.

As the prince kicked open the door, he kept his bow ready to draw, prepared in his hands. "Well well well," the prince sneered, smirking. "Looks like the kicked puppy's crawling back to his master to beg for forgiveness."

"I no longer hold that rank, Lady Eirika," he stated, his tone clearly still shocked. "I see now. You no longer have need for me." Although that should have been clear from the moments before, up to his conversation with Prince Ephraim. Her words only ripped into him more. No place with her... near her...

"I bid you farewell," he bowed with trembling frame before he sheathed his sword and turned away.

Innes pulled her into an embrace, close to him as possible. He had won the battle and Seth would simply have to retreat with his tail between his legs. Oh the joy of victory.
