George is a tough Beatle to place.

He seems to have stayed true to his convictions even after breaking up with the Beatles - he was deeply spiritual and philosophical - and remained so throughout his life.

He simmered, I think, but I'm not sure that he really lost his touch as the years went on.

I don't know... he's kind of in the middle.

I thought Lord Byron had Syphilis...

also, you should really read those Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell books, Lord Byron makes a few appearances (and becomes Jonathan Strange's best friend at one point)
