Lull in the Fandom

Does anyone else think there is a lull in the JE world right?  It's like everyone went on vacation.  Okay, I know a lot of people are busy with dramas, but it just seems like...nothing's really happening.  Looks like I'll have to find other stuff to blog about.

I've been feeling that way about NEWS fandom for quite a long time. :/ But Arashi fandom is always nice and busy, haha. Like yesterday's Shukudai-kun with Nagase. WIN. It's subbed already, even. Behold the fearsome power of fangirls

NEWS is off their tour for now, and with Tegoshi filming Nakushita Kioku (which is finished), Massu filming RESCUE, and Koyama with his stageplay, it's like they're just in random places. But it should be about time for a new NEWS single, so *fingers crossed*

Yay! You like flumpool! Hehe, Ryuuta (the lead singer) has grown on me. He is fairly pretty. He has an interesting voice, too, but it works. If you download one of their PV's, I recommend the one for Harukaze, as it has a story through it, and it's really cute. I love the song, too.

Yeah, poor WaT. People are more into JE or other artists, even though WaT get pretty good ratings on the Oricon charts. Yes, they do need another album. They've had three or four singles since their last album, so it's about time.

Shibatora is a good drama, but it didn't end...quite like I thought. I thought it was too easy to figure out, actually.

Even when they were on tour, it's not like I was really following what was going on with their concerts much, so. :/ Other than Massu in Rescue, none of it is anything us overseas fans can appreciate (at least, not until Tesshi's movie is released on dvd, so it'll be a while, haha). It really is time for another single. I was kind of upset that they barely promoted Happy Birthday. Go on more shows next time, guys!

It seems like our taste in music is rather similar. I see that you also hae an Orange Range tag. :D Aw, that comm is locked. :/ I really want to find a comm for j-rock that does not include visual kei, but apparently overseas fans don't know the difference. -_-''

I know! I mean, I know it's not the same cuz they're not idols the way JE boys are, but still! I wasn't all that much of a fan of Dragonzakura, but Teppei could not have been any cuter, especially with the pink in his hair. ♥

Happy Birthday was released so close to the new album, so maybe they were hoping on double promotion? But yeah, they didn't really promote it except for the Happy Bath Day stuff.

We just have awesome taste in music, lol. Guess a lot of J-rock fans also like visual kei. Not a big fan, myself. I'm more about the music without all the fancy costumes and performances...which I realize is part of JE. XD

Teppei is so naturally cute. He still looks like a high schooler, and yet Shibatora showed us he can be amazingly cool. And he's such a talented musician! He can play guitar so well and play harmonica, too. He co-writes a lot of songs with Eiji. But they don't subscribe so much to the fanservice. Only once in awhile. ^_^

I don´t know the Flumpool members very well yet but I love their album, that one with the Bloody Monday song.
Yay, a new single from WaT, it´s been a while since the last one. Eiji needs to go back to his old hair color though xD I didn´t like his blonde hair much xD
That reminds me I need to finish Shibatora... I was liking it but there were no more episodes with subs at the time so I went on to watch something else and then I forgot about Shibatora xD

You're right about Eiji's hair color. I think it's light brown now, which is better. But he really doesn't look good as a blonde.

yay! shibatora sp <3 i look forward to that. i thought it was a really good drama too. i watched the last ep raw because i couldn't wait for the subs xD; i find i do that a lot >>" happened with bloody monday and innocent love too.

Wonder what the special will be about. It's been several months since it stopped airing, so maybe a "One Year Later" kind of thing? That reminds me, I've still gotta watch Innocent Love.
