I can't believe I haven't posted in about a week. I keep checking my flist, but there hasn't been anything that I want to fangirl over. Not much news, either. My arm really hurts right now. I think I have carpel tunnel. I've been lethargic this week, and I think something bit me on the back. I have a really sore place, and I've felt funky all

It's fun looking for JE in Shojo Beat and Anime Insider. Last year there was a movie poster for Honey and Clover that had Sho on it, so I kept it. ^_^
I agree, they should really mention the younger groups more. Mentioning them is fine even if showing pictures isn't. But I get the feeling the writers at SB maybe don't know about JE? Or at least aren't into that world. I was surprised when Ohkura of all people got that small article in this month's issue. And sometimes JE boys do songs for anime. Take Tegomass, for instance. They did the beginning and end songs for the first season of Lovely Complex. Then Hey!Say! did the songs for the second season. And Ai Ai Gasa was the end theme for the last season of Code Geass. V6 did a song for Inuyasha. There are probably more.

Yeah, SB could mention CDJapan or even the Kinokuniya website, because you can order from that, too. They do have some random stuff, but a lot of it ties into that anime mindset. They probably also have deals with certain websites and places who pay them for advertising, so they have to make sure those places are included. Anime Insider is a little more open about that kind of stuff. They mention JE more often in their Top Weekly Singles column (which is always a month late), and once they had a whole article about manga being made into dramas. They even had a picture from the Nodame Cantabile drama.
SB sometimes mentions drama versions of manga, but only in the "Oh, there was a drama made of it, too" way. But they can't really say where to go watch them since it's not exactly legal, lol.

Tacchon's face being covered up might be the magical veil of JE that repels all shots not sanctioned by the Jimushu. Haha.

Yes, true, the Magical Veil of JE. Right next to the Veil that's in Harry Potter. Both are mysterious, and we do not know what's behind them.

It's great that they're so involved - but really now, STFU. I'M TRYING TO READ DAMNIT. D8<
Since your fansubbing team did Bloody Monday, I have a question for you about the end xD.
Who was the man Orihara Maya was talking to on the phone? Was that Otoya's grandfather...?
Reply
YES IT WAS. See, the final episode left too much undone. The butterfly guy apparently DIDN'T DIE (that's a big WTF? if I ever saw one), Maya may be in cahoots with Otoya's grandfather, the insides of the jewelry box are being kept by J whose story we really don't know, and Haruka doesn't really know her father is dead. So I'm really hoping for a Bloody Monday special this year.

Now I'm even more baffled.
I was at Kinokuniya today after work to pick up a few magazines - and I ran into a gaggle of said manga fans. Then I saw that one of them was holding a JE magazine - xD and I had to chuckle.
