Now, before I present the first excerpt I'm willing to share from my NaNo project, I am compelled to remind you that the point of NaNoWriMo is quantity over quality.  I'm racing to write 50,000 words before midnight on 30 November, which means I've not yet had a chance to read over or revise any of the pages or scenes I've written.  So the

(and you are undoubtedly braver than i... i haven't posted anything from my nano, simply because the prose is very very bad. >.< )

Haha, my prose is pretty wretched as well at this point. I'm okay with that since this is the point of NaNo and of the intimidating First Draft. But I figure if I'm going to get used to letting people read my work, I'll do it in baby steps. I guess first draft sharing is my first baby step because then I at least have the excuse that it is indeed a rough start in need of being prettied up. Or something. Or maybe I'm just looking for attention, who knows? : D
