And I too loved the Brian/Justin/Deb interactions. Poor Brian, from "leonine" predator, to cowering from scary-Mommy who wants to love them to death in just moments. Bwahahaha!

PS- I do hope everyone is smart enough to realize that Brian is the implied #11 on Brandon's fuck-list. After all, Brandon was planning to fuck Brian after doing the other ten.

Other way around! Brandon turned Brian down at the beginning, remember? Brandon wanted back into Babylon if he won; Brian wanted to top Brandon.

I knew Brandon wanted back into Babylon, but I guess I'd gotten it in my head that "Winner fucks the loser" either way. (I haven't watched the episode in question in ages.)

That's one of the benefits of my only starting to watch the show in January of this year - everything's still fresh in my head (read: it's a new and shiny obsession)

Awesome chapter! I like Brian and JJ's interaction. And, Debbie was right on the money, reading the boys the riot act for the keeping the family in the dark. Also, Brian's memory of Brandon's final line was rather chilling. Could Brandon become a suspect? :)

Prentiss says, “Is the sketch artist in yet? Mr. Taylor and Mr. Kinney are going to need to sit down with her to put together a sketch of the unsub.” And she is speaking of making a sketch of Brandon, so I'd say, yes, Brandon is finally an official suspect.

The BAU may only have known of Brandon for an hour, but you know how long I've suspected him. (And judging by some of the comments I've read, I'm not your only reader to have suspected him early on.

Oh I can totally visualize the image you describe in the first paragraph!I was watching 3x05 last night for the Marathon and it had a scene like that and I was thinking how sexy Brian is when he is going for the kill!

And the look that passed between them was a wordless communication of the kind that took years to develop
Such a beautiful image that speaks volumes!

Thanks so much! That's part of how I write, honestly - I have to be able to see and hear the scene in my head. If I can't get there, something's not going to work in the scene at all and I have to rethink it.
