As "the IT" I stand behind your choice not to trust the IT. I don't trust the IT either. And the fun part of being the IT is we enjoy doing releases right at Thanksgiving EVERY YEAR. Just about every place I have worked. "Well the clients want it ready after they come back from the break." Well F them! Oh and for the record "the IT" usually hates this too...it's usually "the IT management" that makes the IT and everyone else on the planet rush crap out the door and work a bazillion hours while saying how quality is important. Where I am now the IT is really big on cramming in hotfixes
