It has come to my attention that a certain someone of culture and discriminating taste, someone I have been proud to call my LJ friend, has let me down in a way that...well, I don't personally have the words to describe. So to help me express my sadness let me turn to the great W. H. Auden:

I think if you don't watch Life on Mars, John will go into a deep depression, slowly becoming more and more reclusive. He'll stop acting, thereby depriving the world of his Sexy, and casting a long shadow of sorrow across the land. Crops will die. Civilizations will crumble. And he will disappear from the public eye for decades, only emerging on his 100th birthday (looking an ancient 40 years old) to accept a lifetime achievement award, which they'll then give to some actor from The Streets instead.

True story.

Also, I would like to go on record as saying that if John will show up in person to punish me for *not* watching LoM, I will burn my DVDs right now. Seriously. Who's got a match?
