[Numerous times in the Archmage's life he has slipped into reverie or even sleep with his head in a tome or on a desk. This time is only slightly different due to his location and the the brown rat curled up dozing next to his head. Gromph had been reading nearly nonstop for nearly 72 hours and his body(and rat) have finally given in to the demands ( Read more... )

(ooc: Because these two haven't interacted at all yet...)

[Drizzt is walking through the library, looking for something to do. He's never really had a chance to sit down and study a book since those six months he spent learning cantrips and level one spells at Sorcere and he wants to see if it's as relaxing an activity as the humans make it look. Drizzt is looking on a shelf just behind the Archmage when he goes to stand and accidentally hits his head on a heavy book, the edge of which is hanging off the shelf. The collision knocks the book forward where it pushes a book on the other side off the shelf and onto the floor with a heavy, loud, thunk.

The ranger rubs the top of his head, and fearing he's hit somebody, peaks around the edge to apologize.]

Sorry about tha-

[And then he sees Gromph, and clamps his mouth shut. That's not that annoying Mizzrym, and it's Dinin or Zaknafein (wherever the latter has gone to), so there's only one drow left it could be, and the rat gives it away.]

[Nether the load thunk or even the words of the idiot ranger wake Gromph. But the did awaken Kyorli and her actions(mostly squeaks and love bites) in turn did. He made sure to look around carefully before actually turning to face where Kyorli was looking. Upon "seeing" who it was that made that sound Gromph scowled and even clicked his tongue allowing every bit of anger an annoyance show on his unlined face.]

You should be sorry Do'Urden.

[Drizzt raises an eyebrow at the powerful Baenre mage, his hands subtly resting near the hilts of is scimitars.]

I did apologize.

[Bringing his hands to rub his temples Gromph began to understand his position a bit more. And when it came to him that he ha fallen as sleep relatively unguarded in the library his mental kicked himself in the same fashion that he used back in his own youth. If he had been a member of a lesser race he may have been inclined to apologize or even thank the young traitor. But Gromph Baenre was not.]

(ooc: I'm going to bother you with Pharaun, even though they've interacted, because Gromph deserves it for falling asleep in a public place. 8D)

[Pharaun is glad to finally have his hands and arms free and his voice back, and he is wandering around looking for his first victim. As he enters the library, perhaps to badger Gromph about the "plans" the archmage has for them later on, he spies his master asleep on a table and chuckles softly to himself.

'Well, that won't do, now will it?'

Smirking, he picks up a heavy tome from a nearby shelf and lets it crash to the floor at Gromph's side.]

[At the sound Gromph isn't quite on his feet but it doesn't matter. Before his "eyes" even turn to find the source of the sound one of the wands on his belt is already pointing at the offender.]

[Pharaun careful sidesteps out of Gromph's aim.]

Master, I'm not sure this is the safest place to work yourself to exhaustion.

[Gromph made no noise nor gave any sign that he even heard Pharaun. That is until He adjusted the path of his wand to point at the offending wizard again. And he held it there for a long moment as if he was contemplating using it. He gave the younger male a look that didn't seem so much like a glare but still seemed as if it could kill if he started long enough.]

You seem to think a place could be safe enough for me to do so?
