Trailers, Fandom, and um....Anyway...

So, "leaked" trailers from Comic-Con for 'Suicide Squad' and 'Deadpool':

Hmm. Ignoring the low-quality uploads, I still have to say that neither one grabbed me. Not saying I hated them or something, I'm still interested, but I wasn't impressed. I'm really trying to be open-minded and not jaded to these things, I swear.

I haven't seen the trailers yet - I'll wait for official releases (because I like pretty-pretty). But The Joker to me, will always be Cesar Romero first, then Mark Hamill...

I feel much the same.. interested but not excited. I haven't seen the newest Superman movie, so I don't know how much context I'm missing for that. Batman: The Animated Series is still the epitome of Batman to me, so the darker Frank Miller Batman really doesn't jibe with me. I don't know much about Deadpool to be honest. I feel like I could potentially wait for both of these movies to hit Redbox.

I am somewhat more excited about X-Men Apocalypse, since I loved First Class and Days of Future Past. But having gotten Jurassic Park last month, and Mocking Jay part 2 later this year, my excitement cup already overfloweth. :D There's not a lot DC or Marvel could do to compete with my love for the JP & HG franchises.

I'm ambivalent towards JP, but Pratt will do well. Looking forward to watching my would-be girlfriend tear up the end of HG, for sure. As for the DC flicks, I'm definitely waiting for Netflix et al. to get them.
