The weekend continues. Same ol' same ol', really: yard work; grilled up sausages, peppers, and asparagus; various runs to the store; Jessica's headache is better but not gone (stupid fuckin' med withdrawals, this cannot be over with fast enough); cleaning. Been watching The West Wing, and just started season 3 ( Read more... )

Things that sound whiny and obvious, but that mean a lot to you, are the most valuable things, most often. There's a reason they sound cliche: it's because so many folks with brains have had the realizations and been helped by them and talked about them that the tales have spread like pee in a pool. Okay, bad simile, but the idea is as pure as pee-free poolwater. :)

Best of luck, holmes.

Speaking of gaming, I'm apparently getting in on a Star Wars campaign with Mike, Tara, Jasso, and a couple others. ...I don't know if I'm ready for the experience. (no emoticons because I don't know what I mean by that).

Also, I watched 30 Days of Night recently and was thoroughly unimpressed. DID NOT EXPECT THAT. But Hanna and The Lovely Bones were pretty excellent, so I still have faith in movies. SERIOUSLY, SEE HANNA. JUST DO IT. YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Agreed, 30 Days was just boring. Badly done at best. Hanna looked good, though, so glad to hear it bears out.

Heh, enjoy the SW game!

Thanks! And WRT Hanna, I absolutely cannot shut up about it. I've called maybe ten people for no other reason than to cajole them into seeing it. You don't need a big screen to appreciate it, but you do need a good sound system. I've seen it twice in a theater, and I'd go for a third.

Custom. Chemical Brothers. Soundtrack.
