As I mentioned in a comment to
a previous post, for some reason, I was not able to translate my settings for Firefox to this computer in the same way as last time. This wasn't a big deal, as I was able to adjust it to my specifications as I used it, but I have run into a problem:

Signing in is not something I try often, but as it happens, I did last time I ordered, which was since I got this. The alternate browser is a nice idea (since I'm required to start with it installed anyway), but at present, it's completely non-functional due to the Google toolbar spitting out a word bubble that's freezing it.

Hmm, I should clarify. I do have my wish list itself working, but the recommendations are not using it-they're using only my items I've bought and that I've said I own already. This means that they're recommending in large part the same things as are on my wish list, making it hell to keep track of which ones I've already added and which I haven't. Obviously, the wish list is stored on amazon's own site, so it shouldn't be affected by cookies and history, which is why it was still intact when I moved to this machine. But the recommendations have changed for the worse, so I was wondering if the settings for that were cookie-related or something ( ... )
