Thanks. I talked with my uncle about this, and we haven't found a solution yet, but they do have an extremely long Ethernet cable. I still hope that I can get this computer fixed, as I find it irritating to have to use other people's computers and settings while my own machine is not available. For some reason, when I copied Firefox manually from the Windows XP to the 7 computer (since I didn't have permission to install something), it kept all my settings and add-ons, but when I moved it from there to this Windows 7 machine, it didn't.

I would be looking into that, but oddly enough, it just let me connect as I had this tab open. I appreciate it coming back, but I have no idea how it worked. Hopefully it doesn't happen again . . .
