I'm considering getting a laptop for portable Wi-Fi capability. With a cursory glance around, I found the likes of this and this, both appearing to have more than I need of everything, for a fraction of the price I expected. Is there some catch I'm missing? Also, is there some reason I should pick a particular model

The portability is just for around the house and on trips, so I think I can handle it. I need the exercise anyway.
