Well, today I had yet more impulse buys (no thanks to the fact that both Christians and employers teamed up to give me some big paydays recently). The first one was of course the D&D Basic Game, which, like the Adventure Game before it, I bought just for the miniatures and dice. I suggest you check out boardgamegeek.com to research a game before you buy it. World of Warcraft gets pretty good reviews (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/17223), and it's only $55 on thoughthammer.com. If you want to buy a big box fantasy game with tons of miniatures, I suggest BattleLore. Similar to Memior '44 it's the fantasy wargame that everyone is raving about. (In a similar vein War of the Ring is supposed to be pretty impressive as well) Also I hear Fantasy Flight games is working on a Starcraft game.

Actually, in this case, the selling point is that they're Warcraft miniatures, so they'd go well with the RPG. From what I've seen in the adverts, they're pretty good quality. To tell the truth, I don't expect to ever play the board game itself (just as I never did with the D&D Adventure Game or Advanced HeroQuest). Thanks for the cheaper link, though!

A Starcraft game, you say? That happens to be on page 1 of the catalog.

Right, I should have told you that you don't need to worry about that anymore. Thanks anyway, though.

And Shadows incarnate, that's a big ogre, particularly if he actually has 15 Agility (which gives him an excuse for having an axe in each hand).
