He checks to make sure that his room is ready and that no one would be calling for him for the next few minutes. And like that, Merlin disappears and appears at Ariadne's flat.
"People have more time in the summer to throw festivities than any other season. Well, maybe harvest season," he informed her with a smile. "What would you like to see first?"
She watched the group of dancers carefully. She didn't do much dancing back home. Just the prom from high school and a few clubs during college. "You may have to teach me the steps, though."
He took her hand and placed it where it ought to be and slowly led her through the more simple steps that the people were dancing through. "You see, they like making it special by jumping around a bit more and twirling," he whispered in her ear.
Ariadne picked up the steps quickly, with very little fumbling. Though, Merlin whispering in her ear was making that a rather tricky task. "I think I can handle a bit of twirling." She smirked very cleverly at him.
Merlin had a feeling his cheeks will hurt by the end of the night from smiling too much. So he twirled her and began to integrate them into the dancing crowd. She really did look magnificent and it was a nice break from the constant search. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Arthur trying to mingle with the crowd while searching for Gwen.
Ariadne spent most of her concentration on their dance, but her time working in dreams did leave her with a fairly good ability to pay to multiple things at once. She was able to view the crowd fairly well from the area where they danced. It wasn't hard to figure out which one was Arthur from the way he dressed and the airs he carried with him. She casually motioned in his direction.
"Yes, that's Arthur. And that," He spun them around. "Is Gwen. Can't really mention anything about them here," he whispered lowly. "No one is supposed to know but I suspect it's a rather poorly kept secret."
She nearly fumbled up the steps, but caught herself quickly as she went into another twirl. She grinned at Merlin conspiratorially. "My lips are sealed."
He caught her and spun her around a bit. "Good," His eyes flicked up to see Gwen making all sorts of faces that meant she will want to ask him questions later. "I think Gwen's more interested in if you're my mystery guest or not," he laughed.
Ariadne looked to Gwen is and smiled at her. She would have waved, had her hand been free. After, she turned her attention back to Merlin. "I think she probably already has her answer. I am wearing her dress, after all."
"All right, next time, I'll just buy a dress for you instead of borrowing Gwen's," he laughed. Ariadne really did look beautiful under the soft candlelight of Camelot. He leaned slowly and kissed her softly. "You really look beautiful."
