Did you watch the BBC Sherlock? I think in the first episode, Sherlock remarks that a woman detective has used a man's deodorant. "So?" she sneers? Then he notes that the scene of crime officer has used the same deodorant, and says something about the condition of her knees. She and the SOCO are having an affair. It's a deeply misogynistic moment touched off by the observation that she's used a man's deodorant, as if no good woman would ever do such a thing.
I think about these too. And deodorants at least usually have scents, so I can see some reason for a distinction there. You know what gets me? Why are men's and women's razors different? We do actually use them differently, but does it make a difference? I say that, but my husband still uses men's (for travel or when his electric is charging)-and I still use women's. Partly, it's so we don't mix them up! I should ask him if men's are cheaper. He does almost all the shopping, so I don't know!
i use an electric shaver, but the main difference that i've seen in men's & women's razors is that some women's razors has a strip of moisturizer or shaving soap stuff by the blade. for the really cheap ones the only difference is that men's are blue & women's are pink.
