I love this whole story (excepting the hateful first part). I love the awareness that was brought to the issue, I love the powerful response, and I love the identification of cowardice. I'm so proud of all the letter writers (inc. me!) :). Yay, Us! Power to the People, man. :D

Interesting. Somehow I suspect the motivator was an increasing number of lost advertising dollars. Midlife career change can be a bitch.I doubt they've found Jebus, but they are welcome to do and to say the decent thing.

*nod* Oh I assume that it was -exactly- the fact that they were losing so much money and probably had to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with their bosses that's caused their suddenly raised consciousness. That, in and of itself, makes me very happy. :)

i think it's unfair to assume that they haven't. the posted letter very clearly takes responsibility for the behavior, and until indicated otherwise, i think the right thing to do is take them at their word.
