The part of me that has to keep being reminded that Clamp the characters themselves have stated that crying is actually a strength was just a tiny bit worried about the idea that they're having brain-wracking sob-inducing nightmares, but let's be reasonable, if they wouldn't have any at all (particularly after everything was over and they could actually allow their psyche to relax) they wouldn't be human, right? Right.

That said, I really liked the way you handled this (because the mood and the tone are lovely throughout the fic), the ending and the same reason to mourn and their related thoughts in particular. And the fangirl in me can't help smiling like an idiot at the second-to-last bout of bad dreams (you know, I can picture it in my head, and it is lovely <333)

Kurogane humming lullabies made me blink a bit, but hey, it's the middle of the night and the man is actually incredibly sweet thoughtful, so who says it couldn't happen? *shrug* ^^

Ehehehe, Kurogane humming lullabyes was a but of a Freudian slip on my part. I have a long running role-play going with a friend of mine where we've established that Kuro-mama used to hum lullabyes to little Kurogane, and now he hums them to Fai. XD;; It was late when I wrote that, it just kinda slipped in and I forgot it wasn't canon. But I do still think it's in Kuro's character, because you're right, he can be very adorable considerate like that.
