So, the townhouse Kiro and I currently live in is being put up for sale. We thought we had a lease giving us until the end of June to find a new place to live. Turns out we were switched to a month-by-month lease due to a miss communication. Meaning: If this place gets sold, the landlord holy has to give us a month to move the heck out. o.O not

Oh my... Well in the long run it makes more sense to buy than to rent. If I was planning on staying in any one area longer than a couple of years, I would be thinking along the same lines as you guys.

I've always wondered what you guys are wondering, just how long we'd need to be staying in an area to actually "buy" a house. The option scares me away usually, because I don't want to say that I'm absolutely staying in one place forever, and the details of buying and selling and mortgages and stuff confuse me. X.x

Yeah, the idea of kinda being "tied down" to a single place is freaking me out a bit as well, but at the same time I like the idea of having a place to call "home" again...haven't had that since living with my parents.
