I was sad to learn that author Joel Rosenberg died last week. He was fifty-seven. His first novel, The Sleeping Dragon, remains one of my special favorites despite its flaws, and I can't think of another writer whose craft improved so clearly and rapidly from there. Every book was a pleasure, and now there won't be any more. -

Memorial Day
Remember to pause for a moment today to honor the many who have given everything in defense of the freedoms we too often take for granted. In particular, I raise a glass this evening in memory of PFC Dan Hanneld and CTO1 Trent Garner. Good friends and honorable men. -
Reminder
