I think Bruce can make a case that everything is or could be research if pressed... though mostly I think the similarities between the fop and the Girls amuse him. He really needed to unwind and not think at all, so I'm glad Clark could see the appeal of that... I'm glad you enjoyed! I write myself warmfuzzy fic to ward off the insanity! haaaalppppp

Awwww! I'm glad Clark let him sleep. Bruce works so hard, you can't blame the boy for thinking napping on a warm Kryptonian is the best vacation! Especially since if they go outside Bruce might have to be Brucie, and he just wants to...be. This was sweet. :)

Napping on a Kryptonian is definitely the best vacation I can think of. And yeah, being outside requires donning a public mask, even if not the Brucie mask, it's just.. people are watching you, and require coupley things from couples and stuff. Bruce is all 'natch! all systems offline!' ...which I definitely relate to :) I'm glad you enjoyed this, dear! I'm also glad to hear you're having a better time in Prague lately and that the difficulties are dwindling a bit. Uhh.. seems like.. you're having difficulties again :S Uhm. *hugs* I hope it improves soon!! Sorry for not keeping up, I'm... sucking at LJing lately...

Heh, yeah, I laughed when I read the first version of that. I suppose there's a fine line between having a positive attitude and jinxing yourself? Well, you know how the long drawnout overdramatic bad luck thing goes...sigh. I'm trying to remember how Robin put the Drama Tag back in...I'm so sympathizing with Bruce right now. Just a week of everything being nice and boring and going like it's supposed to sounds like heaven.
No worries about being behind. LJ requires a lot of effort when RL is sucking all your energy. But it makes a good place to hide. :)

Oh Bruce. I love how he can justify anything for the Mission except maybe just admitting honestly that he needs to rest a bit, how willing he is to try and be with Clark no matter what. And I love how Clark sees the need for rest anyway--the details of Bruce's exhaustion are heartrending. *sniffles*

The throb of his heartbeat everywhere their bodies touched is just...oh, very sexy and warm and satisfying all at once. And the last two sentences, with the contrast between the shining, hollow laughter and the healing safety of shared silence--perfect. And healing in its own way. :)

Clark and his plans - doesn´t he know how tired and weary humans can be sometimes? And the weariness in Bruce sounds like being more than just "needing a rest".
Still, all in all, such a sweet and comforting story!

I think Clark hadn't really noticed Bruce was completely out -that, and is easy to get enamored with the images of doing coupley things, when in truth I don't think either of them would enjoy the public attention or having to don public masks -even leaving their usual masks out, everyone still has to put a public mask that responds to what society requires of us, and it's... tiresome, at times. I enjoyed writing the story, though it's mostly me trying to push past the block, so the theme is kind of... lost in translation... *harrumps* Ahem!

Yes, Bruce needs more than just taking a break to rest, but you tell him that. He wouldn't be the man he is if he wasn't pushing it all the time, I guess!
