I got some homework done and caught up with most of the flist, so... here's some fic I wrote while feverish! It was meant to be Bruce dealing with the first white hairs for
eve_k, but, uh. It got.. derailed. Sorry, Eve! It's still for you! I guess it just means I'll have to try again later, right? :)
Fic is set to Moby's
Love Should, which is
gorgeous.

*glomps you*
Bruce’s look of wonder, his seducing smile, the inward moment of contemplation as he savored pleasure like an exotic and rare wine; mapping soft skin and hard muscle, bones and sinews like the first time, like a last time. But Clark couldn’t really laugh or call him on it, he too mapped and memorized, hanging onto the feel of soft lips and whispered nothings that meant everything, tender caresses or fiery looks under half lidded eyes.
*hearts Mina's writing*
He couldn’t explain how much it meant to him that Bruce was never fazed or scared by him, how much it meant that Bruce could take it all in a stride and hold onto him while they chased the storm. He had tried to explain, of course, but words always fell short, the sentiment too big to voice.
*hearts Mina's writing again*
Without transition, he was kissing Bruce and twisting in the air, he was laughing and making dizzying arcs, he was free falling and staring into stormy blue eyes, always chasing the lightning in Bruce’s eyes, his unwitting god of thunder ( ... )

I wasn't expecting for Bruce to be cast as thunder and lightning here, but Clark was very clear about his fleeting Lord of Thunder being put in the spotlight :P Thank you for reading, dear! *huuugs*

And then, of course, there is the added joy of Bruce and Clark getting it on in the midst of a thunderstorm. LOL

Soooo gorgeous. So beautiful. Images poured into images, and every last one as vibrant as the lightning you describe. Clark and Bruce in the storm, Bruce as a storm, Clark looking at raindrops and seeing atomic perfection, Clark holding Bruce above Gotham's cruel love, trust and fearing not Clark but to lose him ... So many beautiful things. So fluidly and gorgeously threaded together, the whole so much more entrancing than any separately ... Gods, you bring out the poet in me.
I am in awe. Pure and simple.

I'm thrilled to know you liked this! writing it was a lot of fun, I never thought of Bruce *as* thunder, despite of thunder being my favorite dramatic entrance for him -maybe from watching the BtAS intro far too many times, lol. The atomic structure of water was one of my favorite details to write in, I can see Clark getting in trace looking at things micro and macro... such an awesome array of powers.
I like the poet in you *grins* Write me death!Bruce and Hades+J'onn, poet Icarus! I waaantsss iiit! :P Thank you for reading, dear :)

It was definitely one of my favourite to read! I love microcosms and macrocosms! I love the symmetry of it, the gorgeous complexity! I wish I could see as Clark does. Or Atom. The intricacies of everything small, the majesty of everything large, the incredible patterns that flow through and connect it all ... Oh, I'd love it!
And the poet in my is certainly trying. I'm working on it, dear friend. It will come, eventually!
