(FIC) Golden Delicious (Booster/Beetle, PG-13)

From the verge of overworked death, I bring you fic! I wrote this last week but waited in hopes of finishing birthday stories for both icarus_chained and eve_k but... I haven't got to them yet! and since vigilante_wake will be over in Ferretland next week, I wanted to get this out before! Happy belated birthday, dear! *huuugs* I hope it was good!

I realized that I hadn't commented on this yet! Dur! I'm sorry! I don't mean to be ungrateful!

First of all, I love the title. Yummy...

Fighting a horrified shriek, he put his weight against the kitchen door and locked it behind him.

*giggle* You know Ted screams like a girl. He tries to hide it, but to no avail.

The blond dipped two fingers in liquid chocolate and held them to Ted. “Chocolate covered? Or just juicy?”

Squee!!!

If they got caught -strike that, once they were caught- they were going to be in so much trouble.

And then Batman will beg J'onn to let him burn down the kitchen... :D

Yay! I'm so glad you liked! I was pretty terrified to play with them since I never had before, but they were very amendable, I'm glad it was a fun read :)

And of course I didn't you were ungrateful or anything of the like, silly possum. Work just eats us alive.

I also hope Ted screams like a girl. It would be fun! the JLI would look at Bea and Tora, and they would just shake their heads, and Ted would blush, knowing he has been caught...

Batman and Bea are going to burn down the kitchen, and J'onn won't be able to resist their puppy eyes. They are just.. too cute!

Ahhhhhh, this was so. frickin'. adorable!!! You just wrote them perfectly here. I love how playful and laidback their dynamic is. And the idea of Booster making chocolate covered apples while half naked and ... smeared with said chocolate ... GUH.

This line was awesome:

A mess involving nudity in the kitchen: if J’onn or Batman walked in on this, Ted knew he would somehow end up tangled in whatever explanation Booster gave, inheriting half the punishment.

Hee! It says so much about their relationship, and I realized it was a very cute piece of foreshadowing when I got to this:

Yay! I'm glad you think the characterization are okay here, Christine! man, I was angsting a bit about that... but Booster, half naked and chocolate smeared? hell yeah X)

Booster is not below resorting to pouting to make Ted feel bad for being mean, at least not in my book. Poor Ted, he always ends up in trouble... I like to imagine the scene that follows, with Bea or Bruce walking on them or finding out, and begging J'onn to let them burn down the kitchen, and J'onn being all '..no, fire is bad. Bad' but how can he resist to Bea and Bruce teaming up on him?
