SO COMPLETELY AWESOME! And what's hotter than switching a lock pick between mouths? NOTHING!

I find that all of my slash pairings are based on canonical evidence, and not just "because they're hot...even though they rarely talk to each other". What you brought to this story and the pairing is that reminder that even if you took the slash element out, it could totally happen in canon...hell, in some ways it has happened in canon. These two are incredibly protective of each other even though they both know that the other can handle themselves. And the fact that they can handle themselves alone is what makes them a great partnership. Their fears about the other's well being in the battle is TRUTH. Their concern when the other is hurt is TRUTH. Thank you for writing this, it was suspenseful and beautiful all the way through.

LOL, yay! I'm glad you liked it! Lock pick kisses are so.. I dunno, Hollywoodesque, it feels, yet I got to that bit without knowing how they were going to escape -if they were going to escape- and it just wrote itself :P I'm glad you think is hot too! mmm, escape artists are hawt :)

I like to write a fair share of 'They were stading close together so why not slash them?' crack pairings, but I agree with you that the most rewarding for me are the ones that have a rich canonical story of being there for each other. I like that if you look at them with slash googles it looks like love, but if you look at them with a more innocent gaze they are just... well, it's still love! Lol, that's the great part! the love is already *there*, we just play with it. I'm very glad you liked this story. It was a pleasure to write :)

Lovely. Well written, and I could have read it in a comic!

(sighs happily) Bruce is sooo cute when he's tired. And Clark? You no mess with his Bat! No! he KEEL! He SQUEESH! lol sorry, my mind is going- it's what happens when one has a fever, I guess.....

I loved it.

LOL, oh yes, Clark is never happy when people mess up with his Bat. The thought of Superman going to battle yelling 'SQUEESH!' made my day, thank you! X) I'm glad you liked the story, and eep, a fever! I hope you're feeling better now! Get well soon!

This was absolutely amazing ... I loved it from start to finish. Bruce and Clark being all protective over each other makes me all happy inside.

And you brought in Ollie, which always makes my day. His "you go follow your heart line" made me grin.

This was completely perfect. Your Bruce and Clark rocked.

Thanks for writing and sharing it with us!

Thank you for reading and enjoying! I'm glad you liked it :) Bruce and Clark do have a very strong protective streak, don't they? I love that about them too!

Ollie is wonderful in the DCAU, I love how he and Bruce interact. He's my favorite archer, that's for sure!

Yes, kudos on the lockpick kiss. That whole bit, Bruce being a freak who thinks *that* far ahead, and Clark thinks he wants comfort, but he really just needs Clark to get the pick... These two are just... Well, the world's finest. And this story, fiction as it is, is an example why. They kick ass against all odds. At least now they both admit that there's more for them together than with them separate.

Excellent story!

Woot! Glad you liked the lockpick kiss. I have a thing about escape artists... and Storm from the X-Men totally corrupted my brain at a very young age about how awesome lockpicks are.

I'm pretty sure Bruce's suit is full of things that could come handy. Losing the belt can't leave him to his bare hands! I refuse to believe that! :P Bruce was definitely appreciating the comfort and multitasking to get out of there. I think he won't have fond memories of Apokolips. And yay! they do kick ass no matter the odds. I love that Muse song, it seemed to fit them well. I'm really glad you enjoed the story, woot!

Wow! Absolutely incredible, Mina!

Bruce realizing his feelings, Ollie right beside him in battle and telling him to follow his heart, the h/c, and Bruce's cleverness allowing Clark to free them both.

*pets her beautiful, hurting boys*

Glad to see a happy ending! :)

Woot! Thank you, Brady!

I had fun writing Bruce's coming to terms with his feelings. He kind of falls into a zen state and it just jumps to him, it has been so obvious! Of course everybody and their cousin knows :) Ollie was a dear here, I love him so.

I'm a h/c whore, I can't help it, it sneaks into everything I write! substitute for plot, I'm afraid :P I'm glad you enjoyed it!
