Written weeks ago in class, surrounded by people unaware of just what goes through my head. The old cliche of being alone in a crowded room and all that.

Aww, Mina, I don't know what to say. This beautiful fic was written very well; it's so sad and it's left me aching to hug poor Brucie. *tear*

Not much so say for suicide fic, really! :P I was just toying with Bruce, see where he could break. I want to hug him too, he seems very tired. I'm sorry for tearing you up! but thanks for reading :)

This is excellent, Mina. When people get older, the events of their younger lives start taking on a bigger importance again. While the death of Bruce's parents has never left him, his memories of it are starting to completely take over when he realizes how long it's been. Very realistic.

I don't know if everyone does it, but imagining a world where you don't exist is a common theme of my wanderings. That, plus depression=breakdown. But I'm sure J'onn would be there to catch him.

But yeah, the longer he stays in the Batman role, the more I can see Bruce starting to question his choice and mulling over the losses. Somedays I think it's worth it, other days.. not so much. I'm glad the story was realistic and not entirely an emo trip, El. Thanks for dropping by!

But never mind if he'll like it or not, he seriously needs it. Hugging makes things better. It's science! ...maybe!

I'm sure J'onn will eventually catch him, if he falls. J'onn is awesome like that.

Whoa, I shouldn't read this just before going to bed when I'm feeling tired and like I didn't get enough done. Although...I suppose I've got it better than Batman (although the fact Bruce here is apparently approaching the same birthday I am is...a touch chilling!)

J’onn whispers in his mind, and Bruce isn’t sure if he hasn’t heard his storming thoughts all afternoon.

I love J'onn so much here! He's so...careful, and kind, and just wonderful. Thank every deity for him.

I really love the title of this one, by the way. The bullet that didn't hit him, that he still waits to hear.

*tucks Bruce into bed very carefully and gives him good dreams. Somehow.*

A touch chilling indeed! No, kitten! Fend of the 'what a crap day' vibes! Bruce is feeling crap, but we can fix him. We just need, erm. Well. J'onn will take care of him! and hopefully hug him, that would help.

I loved the bit with J'onn, probably the only reason why I posted the story (I had no intention to post it when I wrote it, but I forgot all about it until yesterday). J'onn gives me a bit of hope that not everything is lost for Bruce.

I'm glad the title works. You know how ghost limbs hurt sometimes? I imagines the bullet was something like that. Not there, but hurting nontheless, and impossible to soothe.

Yes, I was reminded of those creepy scans of Bruce sometimes having the happy dream that there was a third bullet, and it shows little him smiling with the bullet hole between his eyes...that totally freaked me out, yeah.

Batbunnies! I won't feed them to the alligators, I promise...

Thank you, Mer! I'm so glad you liked it! I fear that writing it shouldn't have been that easy, it makes me worry about the Bruce-muse and my own psyche a bit. But that's what fic is for, I guess.

And oh my god but J'onn is the one person I think can totally understand what it feels like to wish to have died with the ones before.

Yeah, exactly. J'onn understands, and can help in an unassuming way, no platitudes and no promises. He knows it never goes away, but he also knows there's reason's to stay. I know it my heart that he would catch Bruce if he fell. *hugs* Thank you for reading :)
