Fandom: DCU
Pairing: Jason/Bruce/Etrigan. Yep, that’s what I said.
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 954
AN: Written for ilyena_sylph’s birthday! It’s kind of late, but I had a sudden case of writers block. But nothing kicks that like Jason Blood! Set during Bruce’s last years of training, I swear all this little one shots will be tied together by a bigger story ( Read more... )

Mmmmmmmm Jason/Bruce. (with a side of Ettie!)

This was a good thing to go to sleep to. :D Odd as that may sound.

Glad I could be of service. Only Jason can break writer's block the way he does :)

I don't know much about Jason/Ettrigan, but enough to like this. And young Bruce. There isn't enough young Bruce, he's always old and grouchy already or eight years old. Nice little touches, like Jason seeing the last of unguarded Bruce.

Just a couple typoes I noticed:

"brunet" should be brunette

"the last to experiment the untamed wilderness of this man."
--did you mean "to experience" or "experiment with"? I'm not sure what you're going for.

"After he leaves Jason side"
--Jason's

Thanks a lot for the corrections! I blame the online dictionary for the brunette one, too. I was sure my spelling was wrong but it said it was okay... the work of evil! thanks for the help :)

Glad you enjoyed the ficlet too, young Bruce is kind of.. an unstoppable force in my head. He's a lot of fun when he's not being dark and broody!

Technically, Mina, "brunet" is correct when you're describing a man. "Brunette" is the female form of the word. It's the same thing with blond/blonde, actually. But because English doesn't have male/female forms of adjectives, the distinction has gotten blurred (I have no idea why hair color is the only thing we took from French on this). And because we describe women's hair color more often than men, most of us have come to see "brunette" as the standard word..."brunet" looks a little odd.

All of which is a long-winded way of saying: probably best to leave it brunette, but your dictionary didn't let you down.

Lol, I just... Bruce was being such a sexy devil in my head, and Etrigan wanted a piece... this kind of came out of nowhere. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. *incoherent gurgles*

Man, this was yummy! You use Blood so well as a foil for Bruce's character and as a window of insight into his soul, I do love it.

To Bruce, life seems to be a never ending circle of learning, training and seducing, not necessarily in that order.

*falls over and is ded* Your roguish, impish Bruce here is so wonderful! I like the fact that Jason isn't sad about this, but I know I found it a terribly sad line (for my own obvious reasons):

The magician takes an unhealthy amount of satisfaction knowing that he is perhaps the last person to meet an unguarded Bruce Wayne, the last to experience the untamed wilderness of this man.

Jason's balanced nature is wonderfully done here, and his attreaction to the dark and lightness he sees in Bruce is so deftly drawn and completely understandable.

Yay for breaking writer's block! Yay for Bruce/Jason! Yay for the ferret!

I tend to wax about Bruce a lot, lol, poor Jason.. but I like how they reflect each other a lot. Jason is attracted by Bruce's darkness because of Jason's own darkness... Jason is predatory and possesive because Bruce is lusty and lost and so one. Jason rocks, that's for sure.

And training, learning and seducing... I thought it was sad in light of how much Bruce had to dull himself later on his life, how that personality dissapeared inside the shells. I'm sure it's stil there, it's just not on display anymore.. and that's sad. *hugs young Bruce*

Yay for breaking writers block indeed! I'm glad the result was enjoyable :)
