FIC: Impasse

I was supposed to be doing homework... but I had this bunny biting my leg, and it wouldn't let me be. So here, happy belated birthday pervyficgirl! I know it's very late, but you know, for some reason, tangerines and porn made me think of you :)

Also, jen_in_japan unwittingly provided the "plot". I know there's no plot. But she prompted it non the less :) Not beta'ed.

Also? I loved how the positioning of their impasse was pretty much Clark's doing. The bulk of fic I read has Bruce being the stubborn/unsure one, which certainly works, but I really like they way they were flipped here.And yes, of course it makes sense that Bruce is usually the balky one, but I also got a thrill at the idea that it could be Clark who's the one backing off and being fretty

My Clark is fretty very often, lol, I just don't give him much chance to back off! If he backs off, Bruce won't pursue. For some reason, my Bruce muse is not very chase-y. You usually have to corner him to get him to do what you want anyway...

Lol, I was giggling at Clark for being angry at the juice drop! he was almost glaring at it! And Clark's super senses did a number on him. No one else would have noticed! Alfred, of course, knows it all :P

XD I love you, you know. That's perfection :P And yeah, my favorite seduction style is the unwitted one. Bruce can be very on your face about how shagable he is and he knows it, I don't think Clark would go much for the in-your-face thing. With Batman, it's the subtleties that get you... that, and surprising Bruce is fun!

I'm glad the leather and orange line worked. To be honest, I could only think that it would be like OrangeGlo or something, lol. But I couldn't think of something else :P

I so wish I could get Bruce to say "Are you for real?" in one of my stories! But it doesn't fit the mood of anything right now...it will have to wait until Ultraman finally demands his screen time.

Oranges and leather is a lovely combination because of the very strong scents/flavors that combine together incongruously but nicely. I still remember a story of Filly's that had Dinah smelling like orchids and motorcycle oil, which I loved there as well.

I think we all running out of descriptive there. It was wonderfull, and SOOOO evil, but sweet,... well like a ...tangerine really.
I can imagine the undecise Clark turning in circles, not managing to get an answer, and Bruce just giving him all the space he needs with his frosty attitude. You don't say it in many words but it's all there.
And Alfred, well Alfred is Alfred after all. And whatever he is, he will always be on Bruce's side, even if sometimes one wonders.

Yay! I'm glad it's there, because yeah, that's exactly what was going on. You ask Bruce for space, and he gives it to you. In spades. He's not trying to be evil he's just... well, Bruce.

Alfred was after the common good! Lol, Clark thought he was conned.. into getting laid? Sily Clark, be happy, Alfred is fixing your problems for you :)

Wally totally noticed. I don't think anyone else saw it, and now no one will believe Wally that Superman just licked Batman's hand! :)

Bruce=Hotness. Everything else is just for my delusions of plot!

Thanks! Fic with Alfred being evil could get very, very scary, very, very fast, lol. The League, I'm sure, was pretty obvlivious the the whole thing, except for Wally. Poor Wally, no one will believe him. That won't stop him from telling everyone what he saw, though. I'm glad you liked it :)

Lol, the summary really did sum up the story in this one. I just added tangerines to the mix.

And the League was probably oblivious, aside from Wally, who has a really good eye for this stuff. Too bad no one will believe him!
