Architectonical wonders...

Why does it every time I draw something with pencil, it fits perfectly, and the second I start the clean draft in AutoCAD, nothing fits whatsoever? I just lost 2.5 meters somewhere! It's no small feat, I tell you. I can understand that my lazy sketches might eat up 80 cm. or so, but 2.5 meters? Where did they go ( Read more... )

Architecture is a bitch, I remember we had to draw some buildings in scale for one of my art classes and I ended up making a lot of mistakes and mathematical errors (I suck at math).

On the contrary being an architect pays you really well, and according to my cousin who wants to be an architect (but not because she's passionate about it) you travel a lot since some colleges will take you to see famous buildings (like Paris to see the eiffel tower or Italy to see the leaning tower of pisa).

So good luck with your project and I can't wait to read the second part of the Superman Returns Challenge :).

Drawing things in scale is exactly how I lost the 2.5 meters, *sigh* I'm about to give up on the project right now, I'm just too behind... but I'll see how much I can do!

It does pay well, I guess, to be an architect. It's not as well paid here as it is in other countries (here being Mexico), but it's good. Besides, you can work in plenty of things, not just design and construction. It's quite cool. My school does have a lot of travelling, it's great if you like travelling and architecture. But the career is a bitchy bitch that steals your mind, time and sleep, if you don't love it with all your heart it's not worth it...

Thanks for the good wishes! And yeah! I'll be posting next week, I hope! Yay, story!

Hmm...what is Guitar Hero?

It's a PS2 game where you get this little guitar with 5 buttons and you play rock... you know, the way the step indications flow in the Dance Dance Revolution games, the same way. But with a guitar! It's awesome. One gets to looks slightly ridiculous with the tiny guitar rocking, but you know, it's worth it!

I did finished the project! I gave up a thousand times, but in the end, I did it! Yay!

I'm going to have to look for this Guitar Hero thing to play with my niece. It sounds fun. I don't have a PS2 (I have an xbox) but my nephew does...

Wow, that song... the band Muse has done that one too, in a different style - this is so cool. And a good Bruce-voice too.

Er... random lurker says hi? Looking forward to chapter two in your Superman Returns - but good luck with your project!

They do rock indeed - I've seen them live twice :D
Feeling Good is on 'Origin of Symmetry', great album. Sadly, I haven't heard their newest yet.

Congratulations on finishing! ;)

I finished it! I can't believe it! I gave up a gazillion times last night, but people kept coaxing me to finish it. And I did. It's good :) I'll show it to you later!

You know, I was wondering the exact same thing. Where did they go? May I have them to add to my tiny hotel room?

And oh, "Superman Returns Redux"? Sooooooo looking forward to it. It definitely inspired me on the latest.
