Continuing with my 'augh weddings WHY??' marathon, here are some scans from Black Canary Wedding Planer, perhaps the weakest of the Wedding tie ins (in part because the art is horrific, but that is one of the reasons this book makes me laugh

That dress is just so horrible, lol. Get rid of the hideous bow and floral insert and we might be getting somewhere. I mean, Black Canary's outfit is hardly an example of tasteful restraint, but I would kind of imagine she would want her wedding a bit toned down? Maybe Dinah's just...into the bows and frippery!

(I would like to think Barbara's "Oh Dinah" means more, "You're one of my best friends, and so I won't tell you that looks awful.")

All of their arms look so weird! Look at Dinah's arm in that last one (I didn't see it before, I was mesmerized by her Tribute to Weed lingerie, lol). Does anyone really think you could punch someone with so little muscle on an arm? Okay, I admit, "punching" is probably not what the artist was thinking of here... And whyyyy did the artist decide to crop that last shot so it looks like she's totally naked when she's not? What, did the artist's brain explode at the idea of having to draw more lingerie?

I love that Ollie's solution is "call Bruce!"

Well.. wait 'til you see what she does wear to the wedding. No tasteful restraint, nope! (but it looks cool, I gotta say! better than this, anyway!)

I really hope Mari and Babs and Diana are kidding about that dress. Girlfriends are supposed to be honest in these moments!

Scrawny scary arms! urg, you're right, her arms in the end are terrible! and.. the one where she looks topless is awful. Though, again, I give credit where credit is due, at least her boobs aren't right there in her neck, you know? proper boob gravity and different boob sizing seems to be all this artist can manage?

Ollie and Bruce are turning to be very chummy in this GA BC run! *hearts them*

That dress is... um... What happens to her legs? LOL, I'm concentrating on that so I don't need to look at the rest of it...

And the underwear... um. I have no words. *hides*

I know! Alfred would have organized this wedding in like, two hours! he's just that great!

Her legs, uhm, well.. she.. has to cross them and hop? ...that's a very tight trumped gown.. though, the dress is strapless in the first shot and when she turns around it has a back, so... I have no idea. Bad, bad art.

Damn. THREE bridesmaid's dresses? Yikes. I got married in Vegas with me, my husband, a minister from the Church of Positive Living and an Elvis impersonator.

Dinah is not convinced this is a good look for her (I am not convinced this is a good look for anyone, but that's beyond the point) so they fight crime for a while!

I would be more okay with the bridesmaid dresses if the bride didn't have so much power in the decision making process, lol. Or, well, that's only one of the bride's. The other bride is very relaxed still (her wedding isn't until October), and my brother doesn't care about dresses (or so he says right now, he's growing increasingly erratic as the months pass) but.. I still need them. And.. they are usually not something you want to wear twice...

I wish they would marry in Vegas! The Church of Positive Living, btw, sounds awesome :)

I've enjoyed the Wedding specials a lot, I'm glad you like my silly rambling X)
