Bittersweet and beautiful!

Clark looked at him, taking a slow, deep breath. Dark curls rested against the pale neck, water drops making their way down the sinews of muscle. Pale blue eyes like the winter sky back home, back on Earth.

This was especially beautiful, Clark thinking of Earth as home, as he should, and Bruce so much a part of that home and that life.

This was beautifully sad. They're both filled with quiet desperation and so much pain, and then a very smutty ending to tie it all together. I really enjoyed this, fantastic work Mina! :D

Smut can fix a lot of things in fic! Keeps Bruce from totally falling apart :P I'm glad you liked this, Kate! Eee, I'm so happy to see this up!

Two stars in the night, cold blue fire, and then a sigh, so soft he would have missed it if not for his heightened senses.

Gahhh, so gorgeous and subtle, I love the image of Bruce kind of...materializing out of nothing like that.

His body was made of stars and the void of space, and it seemed to him he might just... disappear.

*sigh* And the yearning of this, the bittersweet fear that he might not really be there, might disappear...

"You needed a haircut when you came back, and no one said anything for months," Bruce shot back, walking into the bathroom.

Hee, Bruce. :D Though Bruce did call him a hippy, but...that was an alternate Bruce, lol...

the smell of his neutral soap obscuring Bruce's smell. An aspect of him, lost now.

I loved this line, it made me kind of sad...just the idea of Clark treasuring even the smell of him, hating to see even that go. It's very, very Clark to me.

Ninja suit makes Bruce harder to detect! that could be troublesome down the line... but I loved how you made him come out of nowhere in the park, I wanted to play with the suit!

Playing with their degrees of loneliness and longing was really fun, they took turns being unhinged and pulling each other up. I could not expect any less of them, though!

With Clark's super senses, I guess smell would be even more important? I mean, it's so entwined with memories for us, I can't imagine what it would be for him, like.. memory treasures.

Maybe Bruce has amnesia because he can't bear to be lost in time and not return to Clark? lol. I want to read the return of Bruce nooowwww!! hurry, Grant, hurryyyyy! This was so much fun to write, thank you for the help with it and for letting me play off your story! fun timesss :D

Ohhhh, don't laugh, the idea breaks my hearrrttt (in the best of ways!) We really need to write some of this before Grant does, just for the fun of imagining it! :)
