I am home from the airport and jumping onto the flist with both feet and a huge splash of wonderful ferret-fic, wheee!

He's weak and ridiculous, so concerned with what others might think, so unable to take a decision and follow through the consequences, so damn delicate.

Yesssss, Damian is the perfect narrator for making me rather like Dick! Somehow I can like a character more if I'm forced to defend him from a rather unreliable narrator than if the narrator is swooning over him and demanding I love him too. :)

He has never met anyone like Dick Grayson before.

I love how this is meant to be a sneer and yet despite himself it comes out almost wondering and grudgingly impressed.

Well, that couldn't be worse than the Winter of the Pit. Maybe not even as bad as the dance of the hundred swords. More like... that spring swarm ritual he never really understood.One of my favorite things about the way you write Damian is the glimpses of life in the League, the small hints of how it must have been--that and Ubu playing cards with him, ( ... )

Soooper late ferret! hi! I can't believe I haven't answered to you yet, I suck! :/

I really enjoy putting Dick through the wringer through Dami's eyes. I mean, it's not like the flaws Dami sees are actual flaws, you know? it's easier for me too to try to defend Dick from Dami's venom when he's being cranky, which is a good thing! Dick Rehabilitation Through Annoyed Damian :P

I think never having met someone like Dick sheds some light on Damian's attitude. Dick is so.. counter intuitive! how can he survive, hhowww?

Ubu+Damian fic will have to be written! you encourage the bunnies like nobody's business, lol, I really need to just finish something! damn ferret attention span...

Oh, I am so happy this story did that for you! I love it too when fanon gets me to see canon in a new light (I never cared for Guy Gardner until fandom, for example) so I'm thrilled I could share my love for Damian! One of the things I find most interesting about him in Gotham is his culture shock, but you're right, he's a brat to Talia and Ubu as well, and he doesn't have much culture shock leeway there! lol, I think he's too intense and focused for his own good and people don't seem to get on with the program. That, and, well. Ra's is not the best man to raise a child, I think ( ... )
