Have you tried running a deep spyware and virus scan on your computer? The winning (and 100% free) combination of Avast, Malwarebytes, and Spybot will catch a lot of icky stuff that can cause something like that.
Safari's update must be as well. I might end up downgrading to an older version of Safari again, because while it gave me a different kind of hell it at least didn't make me boggle every now and again. :/ (But thank god it's not just me! I was really starting to wonder.)
I'm tempted to just wander over to the Apple store and pick up Snow Leopard (the latest OS). I just haven't done so yet because my computer is going on four years old and I'm kinda thinking I'll be getting a new one once I graduate -- and then Snow Leopard will be standard.
Bahhh technology ilusfm but why do you have to go out of date so fast?
I've looked for updates, but they don't seem to have any. Well. None that I haven't downloaded already/would have to buy the very newest OS to download.

I miss my mac, but I love Chrome and Firefox so I'm kind of glad I got a cheap netbook instead of a macbook.

The funny thing is this only happens every now and again, lasts maybe a day, and then everything works just the way it had before. It's...interesting.
