It really does. And the fact, too, that that's earth from the edge of our solar system. Not much further away and it's gone, and the only hint that it's even here is the faintest of faint shadows on the sun as the earth passes over it. And even further out the only way of knowing our star even has planets is to see if Jupiter casts a shadow.

And even further out from that, our own sun is barely a little dot.
