DUDE, YOUR THOUGHTS ON COMICS, I AM SO WITH YOU. I nearly lost my mind trying to keep up with any sort of canon on my favorite characters! Oh my god, I have SO MANY BATMAN AND DEADPOOL COMICS TO READ IT'S NUTS.

I HAVE THREE GIGS OF DEADPOOL CANON TO READ. THREE GIGS. IDEK how much Batman, but I'm sure it's another terrifying number. AND NOW I WANNA READ MORE IRON MAN AND BULLSEYE STUFF, I'MSOSCREWED.

I usually only end up finishing regular series (i.e. The Walking Dead and Y: The Last Man) just because they're so much less confusing as far as continuity goes. Do you have any idea how mad I was when I was reading the newest Deadpool series, and found out I WAS SUPPOSED TO READ A RANDOM THUNDERBOLTS ISSUE IN THE MIDDLE? OH MY GOD, HOW DOES ANYONE KEEP TRACK OF THIS STUFF?

Lol IDEK why I always capslock rant in your comments, I'MSORRY.

I'VE BARELY EVEN STARTED SEARCHING, and I'm so scared right now. This is going to eat up my life, I just know it. D:

THREE GIGS?! YOU MEAN YOU HAVE IT SAVED? AUUUUUGH, THAT'S BOTH AWESOME AND TERRIFYING, I WON'T LIE. Your poor hard drive. D: A-AND IRON MAN, I HEAR YOU, DO WANT. I think I'm going to wait until after I see the second movie before I start hitting the source material for Iron Man, because then it will be summer and I might have something resembling time ( ... )

I always feel like I'm safe when I pick up the five-issue stories that have been popping up lately. I read Dark Reign: Hawkeye (which is AWESOME BTW, I LOVE BULLSEYE LIKE WHOA NOW), thinking "HEY SO IT'S ONLY FIVE ISSUES THAT MEANS I'LL GET A WHOLE STORY WITHOUT GOING INSANE." BZZT. In the fourth issue it says "SEE HOW THIS CHARACTER IS BURNED AND STUFF? READ ANOTHER BULLSEYE COMIC TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED." AAARGH.

I thought dealing with Resident Evil canon would've prepared me for this madness but OH HOW FOOLISH I WAS.

NOTHING IS SACRED TO THESE PEOPLE. Apparently this is the lesson we should draw from your pain. Just because you think you're getting one thing doesn't mean you're getting that one thing.

B-but Resident Evil canon is only twelve years old! And much much smaller. And far less insane. The only real problems are all the ports/remakes, which often remove itty bitty details and add in others, for reasons I have yet to make heads or tails of. :/ (I still haven't figured out if the Wii ports of RE0 and the REmake have any strange additions to them, or if they're just ports with wiimote options added).

THOUGH IDK IF I SHOULD CALL WESKER'S BACKSTORY REVEAL A SMALLISH RETCON OR NOT. 'Cause I was down with thinking he was just one batshit insane human being. And frankly I prefer him as one hellishly batshit insane human being to a genetically engineered genius with psychotic tendencies. D:

OH OH OH DO ME DO ME. Although I'm pretty sure the last time I tried to do this meme, I failed miserably XD

Dude, Emma Frost. I didn't think I'd like her either, but then I read Astonishing by Joss Whdon, and...I love Emma Frost. That series also managed to make me like Scott, which I didn't think was possible, and now I kind of ship Scott/Emma in that universe purely because of Joss. Astonishing is also what made me love Kitty and Kitty/Colossus. I don't know how you feel about Joss Whedon at all, but that series is one of my favourite takes on the X-Men universe ever. There are no words for how much I loved that series. It's just...astonishing, lmao.

And on a random note, I always thought it was implied that Spike died at the end of Bebop as well. Or is that wrong?

Dragon Age: Origins, Bleach, aaaaand because I am curious and haven't thought about the series in a long time, Fushigi Yuugi. Have fun~

Joss has never been able to keep me entirely captivated with his shows, but then I've never really been into vampires (which rules two of his big ones out), had Firefly ruined for me by several of my friends, who are obsessive fans who couldn't shut up about it and then made me watch Serenity first (Wash! D:), and the whole premise of Dollhouse did nothing for me. But I've never really gotten to give his stuff a go, so I feel kinda bad disliking him right off ( ... )

MY COMMON SENSE IS TINGLING!

I'm so with you about snow. I was hoping for a white winter back in autumn, but right now I'd rather it started melting. It's not even pretty anymore - we had some warmer temperatures few days ago and now the frost is gone.

Bumi/Avatar the Last Airbender, Snow, Russian, Earth tones, and your family~

I am torn between being happy about it and being ragey - I finally got the white Christmas I've been dreaming of for years (as in I woke up to it still snowing on Christmas Day), but I hate being cooped up and having to miss work and it being so cold. D:

Our snow is ugly, too. It's all black and disgusting. I want it to melt and be replaced, or just to melt and go away. XD

Oh, I know. We'd had many muddy winters here in a row so it was nice at first to have a winter where the snow stayed for longer than a week in February. But now the snowdrifts are large enough to hide buses behind them and the ground is so soft that walking on it can easily result in spraining an ankle.

I just was a solid ground and actual visibility back.

Visibility omg yes please. I'd like to *not* have to be sitting halfway into an intersection before I can see oncoming traffic. D:

*EEEE*

So glad I got to read all your stuff!

OMFG I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND YOUR NEED FOR CANON. That's why I stopped buying X-men comics after about 1998, when they DECIDED TO COMPLETELY CHANGE CANON MIDSTREAM. AGAIN. White Queen is made outta diamonds WHA???

...and in case you didn't notice, I completely agree with your dislike of Emma Frost. SHE. JUST. IRKS. ME.

BWAHAHAHAHA Scott being an asswipe is an underlying theme to me and my sister's fanfic stories :D

I might start scanning some of my favorite 1970s X-men comics for you to read sometime soon. The key backstory issues (and most RANDOM fun issues like Kitty's Fairytale) are LOOOVE.

I can see you as Aang. All sweet and loveable and YAY!innocent (even when you highly want to shag someone older than you XD).

I AM SUCH A NUTTER FOR CANON. I don't care if I turn right around and ignore some of it, so long as I know what rules I'm breaking, you know?

AUGH THE RETCONS AND RETOOLS AND ALL OF THAT SCARE THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME. It's one of the reasons I've stuck with the television adaptations, which might not be all awesome but tend to be insular universes designed for new audiences...which I still am. XD;;; Plus they tend to be pretty entertaining in their own right.

THE THING IS, I generally like Scott. I just think he needs a good swift kick now and again to keep his head from creeping back up his ass. XDXD

IF YOU DID THAT I WOULD LOVE YOU FOREVER. BACKSTORY FOR THE WIN.

I don't think Scott's a bad guy...but he's just so boy scout, by-the-book, Dudley Do-Right sometimes it's ridiculous.

I'll start sorting through my comics tonight! I need someone to squee about 1970s womanizer Bamf with me!

Ahahah, yeah, he really is. But he can be a bit of an arrogant fool sometimes, too -- and poor movie!canon turned him into someone I reaaally wanted to smack upside. Followed by Jean. Followed by Logan. Followed by damn near everyone else. And then I'd start the cycle of smacking all over again. >(

OMG YAY. *wiggles in anticipation*
