*Would rather be sleeping*

So! It's been a few days since my last post (work has been keeping me pretty busy, and I like to pretend I have a bit of a social life when I'm not working/sleeping/fighting off more headaches) and I have a lot I've been meaning to put up.

First, though, we're gonna do a quick recap of my life. Because it has been oh so exciting.

Recap tiems! )

Oh dear i'm scared to ask about Sherlock Holmes. Everyone I know keeps telling me that I'm not really a fan of the books until I've seen the movies but i'm not a fan of the slash pairing of Sherlock and Watson so i'm still hesitant *blushes*

*grumbles* yeah this posted a little premature...

I wanted to say I hope you succeed in your New Years resolutions! And you so should start up a movie/tv review blog! I'd read it to say the least! =D

Anyways enjoy your time from school I hope you have a good little holiday ♥

....But the books came first...? TBH, I don't think I understand how you can't call yourself a fan of the books until you've seen the movies, since the books are completely canon and the movie is just an interpretation. :/

Weeelllll, I can't lie, the movie laid on the bromance pretty thickly. But! It was typically in a humorous sort of way, so you could take it as two very good friends making snarky comments about their close relationship (and having a lot of fun making outsiders think their relationship was different than it really was), or you could take it as an "omg their luv is so true!!!!one-eleventy" thing.

It really could go either way. (Honestly, I think the movie did an amazing job of riding that line between the two different interpretations very well. Fans of the friendship got friendship. Fans of the slash ship got their slashy evidence.)

TY! I hope I do, too.

LOL I think most people have forgotten that...Although at the same time I keep getting the slash writes itself line...Even my brother was just wow if I didnt know any better...

Although the way you and cariel make it sound its more what slashers want to see as opposed to whats really there...I know its wrong but I rather like them more as bros and best-friends as opposed to lovers though I'm fairly certain I'm going straight to hell for saying that LOL

Well, like I said, the movie does lay on the bromance pretty thickly. Your brother's statements aren't off, but neither are mine or cariel's. It's all about interpretation, I think.

It's still worth it, though, because the love/friendship/whatever isn't the main focus.

Agreed! My friend and I hashed out a few of its issues yesterday after I got home, and while it's not my top fave it's definitely up there and I did enjoy it an awful lot.

Yeah, I was a little put off sometimes because it was very gray and drab and had very low saturation overall, and then there were times I completely missed bits of the dialogue because of the speed/accent/fact that Holmes seemed to mumble here and there. But otherwise I found it quite entertaining -- though a movie I won't be able to watch during the day at all.

TY! I'm hoping for success this year.
