So last night, after something like a three-week rewriting binge, I finally finished revising the first four chapters of a story I've had stuck in WIP mode for over two years. \o\ \o/ /o/

The outline has also been updated and finished, and I have set a deadline for myself.

This is an incredible victory for me. Even more so because the momentum

I AM PRETTY IMPRESSED WITH MYSELF. Even though now I'm questioning a lot of the rewrite, too, fffft.

I actually have an Android -- but Google has told me that one of the apps I've snagged, at least (Mindjet, the awesometastic brainstorming app that is making me squeal with delight right now) is also available for Apple products. :D

Google also gave me this: The Great Big List of iPhone Apps for Writers which might have a few things of use on it!

Mindjet is on there and is one I definitely recommend. It's one of those cloud-like idea charts (where you have a central idea and branch off characters and plot ideas from it? That's the best I have to describe it without visual aids) but it's really easy to manipulate and I'm so far finding it's really handy for keeping character and worldbuilding notes in a single place, especially since I can expand and collapse everything as I need it.

Writing on my phone .... I can't even contemplate it right now. haha It's mind-boggling to me.

Thank you! I'm pretty impressed with myself still, since I am notorious for not finishing things ever.

I'm more invested in finding outlining/brainstorming tools right now, actually. They keyboard on my phone too small even for my itty bitty fingers to type on with ease, so as a long-term writing tool it's not my preference. But it is with me all of the time, and having note-taking apps has already proven a handy thing, since I can scribble something down on my phone and go from there.

...I also like having it for those moments after I turn off my computer but before I fall asleep, as that's when the best ideas like to seep into my brain.

I seriously have not written anything other than book reviews and interviews with folks in ages. I need to get back crackin' on that. (Something I say every few months it seems!)

Ha! Yes, you do. My brain decided that this year was going to be all about writing for me, so I've pretty much done nothing but that and videogames in my spare time. :D Feels pretty good, especially after going so long without it.
