I AM GROWING MORE AND MORE CONVINCED OF THIS EVERY DAY
which actually makes me a bit sad because I was really holding out for him to be the big bad wolf because dammit Fables you've ruined me. XD
They couldn't have cast Charming better. HIS FACE, HIS LOOKS, EVERYTHING. He shows up and I suddenly stop being able to form coherent words I AM SO THRILLED TO SEE HIM.
I ACTUALLY DO, TOO. I still think Emma/Graham is pretty cool, but Regina/Graham IS NO LESS HOT.
I KNOW. He's bound to get a smidge frustrating sometime, but he's, what, ten? If I were ten and firmly believed that my town was full of fairy tale characters who just didn't know it? I'd be just like him.
Ruby is fabulous. I can't wait till we see more of her. I WANT BACKSTORY DAMMIT.
I want a Big Bad Wolf at some point. NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Also I think Emma/Graham is really boring though I'm fairly certain that's the direction we're going in.
I kept trying to type up a review in my journal and my brain couldn't get past !!!!! to be coherent. I'm super nervous about what Mr. Gold is going to want from Emma when he comes to "collect". That isn't going to end well. Although I'm glad that it meant that Ella/Ashley got to be with Thomas/? again :)
TOTALLY CALLED REGINA/GRAHAM. o/ After this, I am definitely convinced that he is the huntsman. How could he not be?! I wonder what his plan is for making Emma his deputy. Hmm....
Nnnnnnnnnn that deal will probably be something huge -- and he has a thing for collecting children from his "clients" so maybe Henry will get involved or another kid or Emma's memories of Storybrooke or something biiiiig. D:
...and maybe since Henry can't figure out who he is/was they'll play the Rumpelstiltskin story nearly straight and have Emma dodge out of the deal by guessing his name. (Which I would LOVE to see.)
I pretty much shrieked when Ella and Thomas reunited in the real world. I also shrieked when I realized how well the writers played the ages with the times - 19 in Ella's time is on the older side for having children, but in our world it's considered to be on the younger side - and the reactions of the characters involved (Thomas and his father, for instance) reflected that.
I DIDN'T. XD But I'm beginning to agree for sure. He has to be!
I think he had a huge "oh shit what did I just do" moment after Emma called him back. HIS FACE.
This is a lovely show! I love that Henry left his shoe in the middle of the stairs, ala Cinderella! It would be wonderful if Maleficent was the main big bad, as the Evil Queen just seems pathetic to me. However, Maleficent would never give magic, so... Rumpelstiltskin, like the Queen, remembers pretty much everything (although unlike the Queen, I don't think he's repressing it). Not sure why he helped Henry find Emma, I mean, he made a deal with Snow White for advice, not to help. Maybe he kinda misses his old home? Not sure why he would, though, here he can basically do what he likes, even if he doesn't have his magic, and there he was locked up and also sans magic.
I also love that Regina totally lectured him on it. :D All things considered, she doesn't come off as quite the witch of a mother as Henry wants others to believe she is - we as the audience know she's the witch, but she hasn't done anything horrible to Henry, really. (That may yet change. Since this is from the same team who wrote Lost, I'm expecting a few twists somewhere up ahead.)
I think there's more to her backstory yet. She seems to have a ton of baggage we haven't seen but have had hinted at - there were a lot of implications in episode 2 that she'd once been in love but something had happened to him and she's blaming Snow for all of it. I am hoping she ends up getting fleshed out a little more though.
Rumpelstiltskin might have an end game beyond being locked up. Certainly beyond what we've seen so far, anyway. Especially if he's aware of who he really is - and he certainly seems to. I wouldn't put it past him at this point.

That movie also looks fantastic! I hope Kristen Stewart pulls it off; I'm not her biggest fan. But Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth!
