2. We are in the same snow storm! Only 3-4 inches so far, but looks like we could get 10 inches as well.
3. Yay for haircuts! I need to figure out what to do with mine, I've purposely grown it out for the intention of an awesome haircut.
4. Tron Legacy as an action/scifi film is far better than what's usually out there. Same goes for the intelligence of it as well. It appeals to true nerds, not the every-day moviegoer and that's why there are times where it gets bad reviews. The soundtrack is EPIC. I listen to it driving, working out, and heck, even baking! ---I think I may have a copy of Tron somewhere on a hard drive (hee, nerdy), I'll let you know if I find it. :)
5. Woohoo! I am also tracking my books this year!
Where did you find that awesome Sam icon? I have been looking everywhere for Tron Legacy icons and alas, no luck.
1. IKR? So angry about that. It's not the first time they've protested a funeral here in town - the last I really heard of was another teacher who'd gotten hit by a car. They protested that the district preached satan or something. So much rage
( ... )
1. Yeah, they've been here too. Ran into them at SDCC as well. I'm all for free speech, but those people are cray-cray.
2. Hee. I'm hoping it turns into a blizzard so work is canceled. I hate driving in snow.
4. What with Flynn Lives and everything else I knew I'd adore the movie, but also knew that it'd be a semi-standard of father reunites with son. I agree, Star Trek, Tangled, District 9 out-rank Tron, but having a movie from 1981 get a sequel is just AWESOME. Wilde was fantastic, I adored all of the throw backs (Dumont's garage, "big door", computer talk) and just Jeff Bridges being awesome. The soundtrack is fantastic, and if you have a Wii, I highly recommend buying Tron Legacy: Grid Games. I can play on light cycles all I want now! :)
5. I've almost finished Double Star by Asimov, and am working my way through The Sherlockian. How about you?
Yay! Much thanks for the link! I shall continue my hunt for my copy of Tron in the morning :)
1. Ugh, I know. It crushes my heart to know they're protected by the first amendment, but at the same time I'm kinda proud, you know, because it means we do still have that right. Of course, I still can't stand the hate and vitriol that pours out of them
( ... )
3. Haha, I remember when I got my hair cut, the same thing happened. My stylist was all, "you're going to realize you have a neck!" and I didn't know what she meant until I went outside. XD But yes, pics please!
and if you want someone to word war with / to motivate you for writing, let me know! I need to write, too.
1. It's what they do. The WBC is known for protesting funerals - usually soldiers, but lately they've moved onto damn near everyone. And yeah, it is. I'd like to go and pay my respects, but between classes and the crummy weather I don't think I'll be able to.
2. YAYYYY INDEED. I am so pumped. I just hope I can make it to work tomorrow morning, eep. D:
3. THEY WILL COME. Likely tomorrow, when I have more sleep and a more recent shower behind me. XD
Westboro....Baptist...Church......man. SO MUCH FACEPALM-HEADDESK COMBO GOING ON.
I'd love to see pics of new hair. :B
I enjoy reading your entries (even though I go awol a lot ._.)but you gotta do what you gotta do so best of luck with the final semester and internship! Also, hope you get your writing mojo back!
