The last time I went back to the UK, I didn't go to see any of my old friends because it became a bit weird seeing each other and we had nothing in common except the past. Much as it can suck, people who were great friends do move on and change (and so do you!)

It's horrible not knowing anyone and having to start the process of finding new friendships all over again (I remember that sensation REALLY well) but it could be the best thing that ever happens to you :) You might meet a whole stack of really interesting people.

Best of luck with the new job... congratulations on getting it and I've got my fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for you!
