Unfortunately it is not an instance of teleportation, at least not one that you are currently capable of. However, I must admit the fact that you are able to teleport things does come as somewhat of a surprise to me. I had not known that bending time/space to your will was something you were capable of.

We are currently being held against our will by rulers of a world in which we are forced to take on the roles of a denizen from a story; whether folklore, legend, or fairy tale. According to Dave, we frequently take on attributes of our denizens and are forced to enact their lives.

You should have received a letter upon arrival that explained the role in which you will be playing. If it is any consolation, we are all now existing within walking distance of each other.
