Tim’s smiles always seemed to be tinged with sadness, like he knew the happiness he felt in that moment would fade, and he would go back to that endless grief he couldn’t ever seem to escape.

I love happy Tim. He totally gets progressively happier as the series goes on. The last story in the series will make your teeth hurt.

I had not read this series before, and I ran across it the other day when you posted this. I finally got the chance to read the whole thing tonight and...well, I always mean to make comments on the individual parts, but I always end up unable to stop until I reach the end!

I really love your delicate touch with these two. The story has pain and grief, but it's not angsty, and the pain isn't the *focus* of the story. I love Jaime's concern throughout and the gentle and gradual development of their relationship. The hamsters were a brilliant touch, too. The porn was hot, but what I love best about this series are the interactions and the growth of their feelings. Tim's confusion and bemusement at Jaime's family. Jaime's protectiveness and frustration that Tim is better than he is.

This is just a delightful story all around. I'm so glad I got a chance to read it!

I'm glad you saved it. Going back and commenting to each one would have taken forever. I'm pretty sure there are at least a dozen parts to this thing by now. DDD:

I really like the slow build with relationships. I don't like the whole one moment they're friends and then BAM they're in bed together. I think, especially with Tim, that there needs to be a slow build. I really enjoyed bringing them to this place and I'm glad you liked it.
