I AM SO RELIEVED, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. This was the first time I'd written anything that could be classified as horror pretty much ever. So there was gratuitous handwringing to be had, especially because I thought I might have gone darker than you wanted. XD

And I'm not familiar with either Justice League or Sandman, so any similarity was completely accidental. After I got the prompt, I actually tried to look up info on Dr. Destiny, which turned out to be totally unhelpful, so I was just like, "WHATEVER MAN, I'll just wing it."
