Oh, man, I know the feeling about running things past a beta or two! I used to be pretty thorough about it a couple of years ago, but then I thought I was just feeding the perfectionist beast inside me considering how many run-throughs I made, not to mention that my usual betas got really busy with other things and I didn't want to bother them, so I just began to rely on myself. I tend to skip the betas because the instant I finish something and give it a once-over, I'm like "Oh, man, I"M DONE!" *posts everywhere* Because I am terrible like that. I really should start doing the beta thing more often, but most of my stuff is anon meme fills these days, so that probably won't happen. XD

IKR? And then I re-read it once it's posted and realize I've a mistake or a few, and proceed to facepalm repeatedly. These days I probably wouldn't use a beta unless I were dealing with topics that I really didn't want to fuck up. *eyes the Kotetsu/Barnaby rapefic she's not even sure she'll ever finish at this point because that prompt already got a completed fill*
