Do the time warp! This is set sometime during one of Aiba's earlier trips out of town, but some time before the trip on which he meets Sho. Now, back to trying to find a purpose for Shun aside from groping Nino so that he can laugh at Jun and cop a feel off of him. Also: To learn to read. And spell.

They keep walking in companionable silence until it's too dark and cold to want to keep moving. They find a handy corpse of trees and some particularly low branches under which they spread out Aiba's sleeping bag.

I love Daigo so hard. I love the way he talks--it's like he's going to say something deep or meaningful and then he's a genius-moron like Aiba instead. I should have an Aiba/Daigo icon, too. Who makes icons and how can we hit them up?

One point I'm a little confused on though, time-wise - I think Part 30 ended with Sho picking up Aiba (although on re-read, I guess it could really refer to any car), so then would the last line of this part coincide with our timeline - because if so, doesn't it basically tells us how Aiba leaves town at the end of our current saga? I'm probably mis-reading this.

Ahh--I thought thirty was about the first time Aiba left town, and that he's been back and forth a few times (I think it's one of the Jun bits that made me think that) but now that you said it, it makes sense that it's probably Sho. In which case this is, um, totally NOT after part thirty but way before it. I can take that note out.

Also: Daigo made Stephen Harper a sheep. On the idea that you could probably totally hug him and pet him like a sheep and he would be a people-sheep. Harper is fuzzy and woolly on the inside!

It's hard to tell, we'll have to ask primroseshows, because while Aiba has left before, the timeline gets a little skewed around the beginning and whether or not that was Sho that picked him up at the end of Part 30 will determine where this gets placed.

I am just. Still so gleeful about that. HARPERSHEEP. Also, check the interests. I've added 3-4 new ones from this chapter. :D

It just occurred to me that primroseshow's part must refer to one of the earlier times Aiba left, because it refers to missing Jun re. what happened between them the night of Aiba's good-bye party, and that was before the first time that he left, so this has to go after Part 30 - so assuming that, then the car must not have been Sho, so we're safe, timeline-wise.

Clearly, Aiba and Daigo were destined! They were probably brothers in a past life. TWIN brothers. They died by blowing themselves up in the coolest experiment EVER.

Connie Willis is awesome in general, but Bellwether has sheep running amok. ^_^
