I know, it's ridiculous right! According to silberpfeil "GEMA won some litigation, it was announced on TV a few weeks ago and that german users on youtube will now much more often see the forbidden, it sucks."
Yes, so true, and the GEMA goes further, today I heard a report on radio while driving, that the GEMA wants to project the rights of the musicans even more, means fighting for more restrictions on youtube etc.!!! I can't image that the sales will climb when no one can watch the videos to decide if it's worth to buy or not -_- !!
I can understand them wanting to protect the rights of the musicians, but how is it protecting them when they block content from the band's official Youtube channel? A lot of bands would use that to promote their singles and stuff so, as you say, how will people know if they like a song enough to buy it?
