Ch. 1 "Aww....He's so cute when he's sleeping."
"Yeah, like a little angel."
"He's no good to us asleep though. Hey! Wake up!"
Chinen slept soundly, not aware of the conversation that was taking place above him.
"Inoo! Don't poke him!"
"But we need an awake Chinen, not an asleep Chinen, Daiki." Inoo poked vigorously at Chinen's left cheek.
"Mmm...." Chinen swatted at Inoo's hand and rolled over.
"Let's try pinching since poking doesn't work..." Inoo smirked.
Inoo raised his hands, preparing to pinch Chinen.
"Are you nuts?! We're suppose to HELP him not HURT him!" Daiki scolded.
Daiki grabbed Inoo's hands and tried to pull him away from Chinen.
"Ticke then! It's not pain! It's tickling!" Inoo hollered, trying to get loose form Daiki's grip.
"Can't you think of any better way to wake him?" Diaki grunted.
While the two fought, Chinen was slowing waking up. He lifted his head up and rubbed his sleepy eyes.
"What's all the noise?" He muttered sleepily, looking around the room, "AHHHHHH!" He screamed at the sight of Daiki and Inoo, which startled the fighting duo.
"AHHHHHH!" Inoo and Daiki shouted in unison.
Both of them backed up. Daiki went a little too far and fell off the bed. Inoo laughed at him.
"Ha! You fell off!"
Daiki grabbed Inoo's leg and yanked him down with him.
"Oof, that wasn't really nice..." Inoo mumbled.
"Ah, Daiki-sama, Inoo-sama, why are you here?" Chinen asked, bewildered.
My voice sounds different. But why? Chinen thought to himself.
"Sama? I feel like an old man if you say that." Inoo stood up and brushed himself off.
"There's no need to be so formal." Daiki added, agreeing with Inoo.
"Inoo...kun, then. And Daiki...Dai...Dai-chan," He said slowly, smiling, "Yeah, Dai-chan. It fits you nicely."
Inoo snickered. "Aw, you got a nickname, Dai-chan."
"At least I GOT a nickname so don't start getting jealous." Daiki countered.
"Uh, guys?" Chinen asked.
"Oh, we're your guardian angels!" Inoo answered brightly.
"Inoo..." Daiki sighed, "You can't just say that! He'll think we're crazy. That we're some kind of child predator or something that broke into his house."
Chinen blinked. Did he hear right? Did Inoo say angels? Chinen stared at them. They were wearing almost completely white clothes. And...yes, there was something on their backs. Wings? They were somewhat transparent, white wings. Chinen couldn't believe he didn't see it at first.
"I can see your wings." Chinen stated blankly.
"Ooh, he does have a pure heart. I knew we picked the right human to look after." Inoo smiled.
"Huh?"
"What Inoo means is that humans that have pure hearts can see angels. But is also depends if the angel wants to show him or herself to a human. We also pick humans to look after. The number of guardian angels vary for each person, usually resulting from 1 to 3." Daiki explained.
"So why are you here?"
"We're here to grant your wish. You want to see your mom again. So we're here to do that. You also wanted a new life, don't you?" this time it was Inoo who spoke.
"But I only wished to see my mom." Chinen said.
"You can't hide what you really what from us, Chii." Daiki stated.
Chii. Only his mother had called him that. Maybe they were his guardian angels.
"It's really hard to get a wish through. That's why don't see a lot of miracles happening. The person needs to have a good heart and soul. they must desire what they want a lot. You can't believe how long it took for your wish to come through." Daiki continued.
"So this is my new life? No more grouchy dad and step mom?" Chinen asked.
"Yep." Inoo grinned.
Chinen couldn't have felt any happier at hearing those words. This new life could turn out pretty good. He looked around his room. It was bigger than his old one. Things were turning around. He felt something in his stomach. Was it happiness. He wasn't sure.
"We should leave now." Daiki said looking at his watch. "We'll be back to explain your life and guide you."
Daiki faded into nothing. Inoo gave Chinen a mysterious grin.
"By the way, you looked really cute in your new body."
Then Inoo faded too.
New body? Chinen didn't like the way Inoo smiled at him or the way he said those words. His stomach was killing him. he was sure now that the feeling wasn't happiness. It was a dulling pain, but it was really bugging him. Whatever this new body is, he wasn't liking it so far.
Chinen kicked off the covers of his bed and trotted over to his bathroom. He just seemed to know where it was, weird. He was actually really shocked he had his own private bathroom in his room. He turned the knob and walked in. The first thing he noticed was his reflection.
"This can't be happening."
Chinen looked practically the same. Same face, same height (to his disappointment), and even the same weight! So why was he so shocked? He was a girl.
His hair was longer than usual. He fingered it and grabbed a handful. He tugged on it hard, only to give himself a headache. The hair was definitely real unless someone super glued it to his head. He glanced up and down his body. There were the curves that girls his age usually got. He even got the boobs.
They're kind of small though. They could have at least given me big-AHHHH! What am I thinking about? This is not a time to be perverted! Chinen mentally scolded himself, blushing a deep shade of red.
There was one thing he didn't check yet. The very thing that makes him a man. He peeked in pants. The color drained from his face until he was ghostly white. He let out a loud, blood curdling shriek.
