This brings us to the red notice. In MG, Shan Cai gets the red notice stuck on her back, which makes her wonder why it wasn't on her locker and made her more suspicious. In HYD, Makino immediately finds it as she opens her locker and a student screams to announce the news.
Another thing I noticed is the bullying in Ying De University is not as bad as they do in Eitoku. Is it because they are older and more mature? They stick to juvenile pranks and the cold shoulder as opposed to physical harm from the entire student body in HYD, going as far as teachers not holding class because of a red notice.
Li Zhen apologizes to Shan Cai using a stuffed bear with a recorded message. I'm not sure I recall Sakurako apologizing when Makino asks her to leave so they aren't seen together.
Shan Cai and Lei's special place is the rooftop instead of the fireplace for Rui and Makino. There Lei gives Shan Cai his hanky to wipe clean but asks her to throw it away because it's dirty. Therefore in MG we don't see Shan Cai holding on to it, washing and ironing it for a chance to return it and see him again as we see Makino does in HYD for a long time, that even Tsukasa sees and knows about it.
Shan Cai prepares for her battle with F4 in the days ahead by carbo loading. This exact scene is also seen in HYD, as well as the affirmation of their name being a tough weed.
Finally, I feel that Shan Cai is way more badass just for sticking her homemade red notice on Dao Ming Si's forehead and calling them Pig's Brain 4 during her challenge declaration. Wow I really don't remember a lot of HYD details and I will confirm upon viewing but as far as I know Makino never made a red notice. She just challenged Domyouji after punching him.
